Shower of God's Grace

Occasionally God gives me little inspirations in the shower. As the soothing warm water pours over me, I begin to pray and praise God for this beautiful untouched day. His amazing grace pours over me in these brief moments of quiet.

One day as I was showering, I was pleading with God to rescue my loved ones. Then suddenly I received this vision: I pictured myself trying to rescue my loved ones from the cesspool of darkness that enveloped them. I tried desperately to rescue them in my little paddle boat but it almost capsized.

Then suddenly I saw Saint Pope John Paul II bringing my loved ones safely to the shore. He began conversing with them on the shore. He wrapped his arms around them and held them tenderly even though they were covered with slimy mud and yuck.

Then Our Blessed Mother appeared and began to clean all the yuck off of them with the gentle touch of a mother caring for her children who just fell face down in a mud puddle. Even though the vision lasted a few moments, I was touched by God's grace and mercy.

I was praising and thanking God for hearing my cry for help. It is reassuring that these heavenly witnesses powerfully intercede in our lives whenever we call upon them.

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Hebrew 12:1

Let Us Prayer: Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible, look kindly upon us and increase your mercy in us, that in difficult moments we might not despair nor become despondent, but with great confidence submit ourselves to your holy will, which is Love and Mercy itself.
