Trees planted by Streams of Water

Psalm 1-- Happy are those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or take the path that sinners tread, or sit in the seat of scoffers; but their delight is in the law of the Lord and on his law they meditate day and night....They are like trees planted by streams of water, which yield their fruit in its season, and their leaves do not wither. In all they do, they prosper.

My Lord and my God I desire with all my heart not to follow the path that sinners tread or sit in the seat of scoffers. I am a sinner in need of your mercy. Lord I know your mercy is new every morning for me.

Jesus son of the Living God have mercy on me a sinner. Lord I ask that you write your law on my heart so that I desire to meditate on your law day and night. Meditating on your law is my safeguard against the Evil One.

Even though temptation will come like a thief in the middle of the night, I know Lord that you watch over me and protect me from my own inclinations to sin.

I desire my King and my God to be like a tree planted by streams of water, which yield fruit in its seasons.

Let us Pray: Help me Lord to run to you and embrace your mercy each moment of each day. Jesus I trust in you.

Connie, can you believe that the absolution of sins is so short and yet so
profound? He INVITES us to be re-united with Him! God is good and so are
