He Is Risen

that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Philippians 2:10-11

He is Risen from the dead and He is Lord. He is risen from the dead and He is Lord, every knee shall bow and every tongue proclaims that Jesus Christ is Lord. I just love the words from the song, “He Is Risen.” It says it all!

It is indeed a joyful day because Jesus Christ has conquered sin and death and we are set free to worship Him in spirit and truth. Through our Lenten observances, we have come to Resurrection Sunday. “This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad.” Psalm 118.

A very blessed Easter season to you and your family. May the peace of our Resurrected Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, fill you with His grace and mercy. As we celebrate with family and friends today, let us remember in prayer those who are in prison, who are ill, who are lonely, who are suffering from addictions and those most in need of our mercy.

Let us reflect on the words of Pope Francis on this joyful day.

 Reflection:

What does it mean that Jesus is risen? It means that the love of God is stronger than evil and death itself; it means that the love of God can transform our lives and let those desert places in our hearts bloom. The love of God can do this!” Pope Francis
