“Our Weather Forecaster”

I am so happy to have my story published in Chicken Soup for the Soul: Life Lessons from the Dog!

It’s available NOW at Trinity Books and Gifts, 1530 Cedar Street, Suite A Helena, Montana 59601, 406-449-4463. http://trinitybooksgifts.com/  or online.: http://bit.ly/2ChbBot.  You can also purchase the book at the upcoming Catholic Women’s Conference on Saturday April 27th at the Trinity Book table.

My story is entitled, Our Weather Forecaster. I wrote this story a long time ago when my children where little. We adopted a German Shepherd puppy and we named her Bambi. Over the years, I revised the story and submitted to various magazines. I never throw anything out and have many stories I’ve written many moons ago tucked away in my computer files somewhere.

When Chicken Soup for the Soul wanted stories about dogs, I thought oh my, ‘I might have one or two stories about the many dogs we have had over the years.’ I submitted probably five or six stories about our dogs but it was the one I wrote many years ago that was selected.

I believe God’s timing is perfect. I was able to dig up photos of our two little boys and Bambi. These pictures brought back some very delightful and happy memories which I have been able to share with family.

The other stories in the book, Life Lessons from the Dog are humorous, heart tugging and just might brighten your day. I found the stories delightful to read.

Sometimes in this much too serious world of ours, we just need to lighten up and enjoy the lighter side of things. I hope you will consider purchasing a copy of this book. I promise it will make you smile.
