No Storm can shake our Inmost Calm

I am so grateful to be able to attend Mass once again and to receive Jesus in the Eucharist. I think for each of us the “Stay at home order” has affected our lives in ways we would not have imagined. I know that each time I participate Live Stream Mass with the Bishop, I am so grateful. As I watched and listened daily, my heart and soul longed more and more for Eucharist. My desire for Jesus grew stronger and stronger.

I also realized how much I longed to go to Confession. I was finally able to go to Confession today. The graces I felt from this confession touched me deeply. I also realized during this time of ‘Stay at home,’ how much I deeply appreciate our priests and how much I missed their presence in my life.

I now have a deeper love for Our Catholic faith. I have a greater appreciation of the Mass and all the Sacraments of the Church. I pray that I never again take for granted these beautiful gifts of our faith.

Every difficulty has a glimpse of God’s blessings. I know that myself and many others were so grateful to our Bishop Vetter for bringing us Mass daily through “Live Streaming.” During this time of ‘social distancing,’ we each were able to get to know our Bishop ‘up front and personal,’ through daily contact with him. This is such a blessing.  He truly is a Shepherd to God’s people.

The coronavirus closed Church doors, but did not prevent Our priests and Bishop to bring the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass to their people. God is more powerful and more loving than anything in this world including the virus.

As we move forward, let us keep each other in pray. Let us pray for our beloved priest as they continue to serve their people. “No storm can shake my inmost calm, while to that rock I’m clinging. Since Love is Lord of heaven and earth, how can I keep from singing.”  Amen.

Beautiful. Hope & pray we get back to better than regular and appreciate what we have -- especially freedom of religion. Thanks for sharing.
