I was reflecting today about friendships in my life. I am so grateful to God for blessing me with beautiful, faith filled friends as we travel this journey together
one day at a time. Through the joyful times as well as the most challenging times, my dear friends have been there for me. They listen with their heart and pray for me. They intercede for me, asking Our Blessed Mother to untie the knots and tangles in my life.
Sometimes they gently rebuke me, when I am straying away from Jesus and His Church. When my friends see my light of faith flickering,
they storm the gates of Heaven for me. When darkness threatens to overtake me, my dear friends shine like lights to help me find my way once again. “Shine like lights in the world as you hold on to the world of life.” Phil 2: 15, 16.
My hope and my pray is that I can be a good friend as well. I pray that I listen with my heart with compassion and
love. “My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry.” James 1:1
My pray is that I always encourage my friend to go to Jesus and surrender it all to Him. My pray is that I remind my friend to ‘be not afraid’ because Jesus has got your back. “I
rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep.” Romans 12:1
Most of all I want to be committed to praying for my friends through the good times and in times of challenge, fear and doubt. “Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.” 1 Thessalonians
5:11. Let us continue on as we serve Jesus and His Kids.
To all my dear friends, I share with you these profound words about friendships.
“Faithful friends are a sturdy
whoever finds one has found a treasure.
Faithful friends are beyond price;
no amount can balance their worth.
Faithful friends are life-saving medicine;
and those who fear the Lord will find them.
Those who fear the Lord direct their friendship aright,
for as they are, so are their neighbors also.” Sirach 6: 14-17
